PSP Softmod

Hi - I am completely new to PSP - I've done quite a few Xbox's and a Gamecube but want to jump in the PSP - I'm looking for a softmod but not sure exactly where to start - if somebody could point me to a nice tutorial that would be great - thanks again

with PSP you have to flash a custem frimware and/or use a program like DevHook 

BUT to do that you need to have FW version 1.50  If you don't have FW v1.50 then you'll need to Downgrade

Downgradeing is All in What FW you have

BUT if you have a TA-082  PSP then you have to use this Downgrader

Ok - I've got the Devl-Hook044 - is this the right one?  If so I still need a tutorial on how to install it on the PSP.   I've also downloaded the downgrading software.  Thanks for your help as I have no idea yet what I'm doing.

if you downgrade, then upgrade to a custom firmware (has OE-A and so on after the version) then you dont need devhook or anything, you just put the games in the right place on your memory card and play.

Dev-Hook 044 is Old and will not work with Some games

Best to just downgrade to 1.50 then use dark-alex costum FW 3.40OE-A
