We Admins & Mods have been looking over the forums recently and have become very concerned with how things are coming out so we decided to update the rules. If you cannot follow these rules then we will not hesitate to ban or suspend you from the site.
Rules:[1] The most important rule that we cannot seem to stress enough, stay on-topic! We have seen many people get off-topic recently and we have decided to just start deleting their useless posts.
[2] Keep the forum PG-13. Don't talk about anything that is sexually oriented. You are allowed to curse to an extent. Use language that you would hear in a PG-13 movie, don't exceed that boundary.
[3] Do not discriminate. Whether doing it based on the color of ones skin, nationality, or the level of their knowledge.
[4] Try your best to use correct grammar. Not everyone can understand your 'l33t language' and not everyone has time to decipher what your trying to say throughout your horrible spelling skills and lack of punctuation.
[5] Do a little research before posting. We're happy to help... but at least Google it. We also have a Search function at the top of the page that can assist you in your search.
[6] DO NOT SPAM ... we'll cut you. Literally.
[7] We do not condone the piracy of games, nor do we support it. DO NOT SHARE GAMES! If you do... don't talk about it here.
[8] If someone is asking for help and you don't have the answer, do not respond. It is pointless to try to help someone if you don't understand the problem yourself. The only thing that should be done is bump the topic so that someone else that knows how to fix it will see it and will be able to find it easier then scrolling through pages of questions.
[9] Don't use smdepot.net as a place to chat with your friends, we are here to help futher the modding community. If you really want to talk to someone and can't use AIM/MSN/YIM/ICQ or anything else then resort to the Off-Topic section because posts aren't counted there.
[10] If you are going to revive an old topic just to start talking about the situation or become off-topic we will start locking topics and we will start giving people warnings. If you decide to keep doing it after a warning has been given then say your goodbye's because we won't think twice about banning your spamming worthless self.
[11] All download links must be coded using the code button
. It is used to keep our links safe. If you find that any of the download links aren't coded please report it to a Admin/Mod and we'll fix it right away. It goes the same with dead links, if you see any that are broken please report them so that we might fix them.
After reading that, you may think that we are heartless. We really aren't, it's just that we have recieved many people coming and going that use these forums in the wrong way and we have had many problems with people becoming off-topic.
