Two questions. First question is, if I want to connect my xbox straight to the computer (no router in between the two) do I need a crossover cable.
Second question. I want to hook up one xbox to another and transfer files, what type of connection would i need for that, and is there anything I need to program between the two xboxes, to transfer the files.

ans to 1 & 2 - Just use a system link cable or any ethernet cable that you can buy at any electronic store, no real hardware need. Use your for ex. system link cable to transfer files to your xbox and computer straight through that one cable. Same thing with the xbox 2 xbox method, if you have a modded dash like unleash x, it all ready comes with a program to ftp(File Transfer Protocol) all you really have to know is the IPs of the xboxs. heres a tut explaining it http://www.smdepot.net/news/?page_id=24 |

u need a crossover cable for both and unleashx has a ftp server but not a ftp client so you will have to get one

is there a ftp client for unleashx? I know how to ftp using a router, what i want to do is transfer files from one xbox to another using a cross over cable, would i be able to do that with file explorer? or xbox media center?
