fixing lazer problem in xbox?

OK, heres my problem.  No matter what type of disk, my xbox is always readin as dirty or damaged.  Is there an way that i could open up the xbox and fix this problem myself?  Thanks much for all the help!!

clean the laser with a cotton bud nd sum alcohol. im shure you can take a stab at opening the box and finding it. do you know wat kind of drive it is?

or, you can drive a laser disc cleaner, its a disc with a a little row of soft bristle's on it, you can also do what yachi said, but you would have to take apart your xbox to do so.

Without opening it you could go to walmart and pick up a disk lens cleaner for 5 bucks, that could solve youre problem.
