Xbox 360 Elite

Here is the story:

We've confirmed with trusted sources that the black Xbox 360 is indeed coming (the image above is of the original 360 dev kit, FYI), and will be dubbed the Xbox 360 Elite. Here's what you need to know about it:

The Elite will be limited quantities only; that may be as much or as little as a couple hundred thousand.
The case, controller, and Live headset will all be black. It will have all new packaging.
Elite will cost $479, and will be a 3rd SKU; it will be sold alongside Premium and Core packs.
Eventually Elite hardware (in white plastics) will take the role of the Xbox Premium. That is to say, after the Elite is launched and sold out, future Xbox Premiums will have 120GB / HDMI.
We do not yet know exactly when 120GB / HDMI will become the standard for Premium, but it is loosely estimated to be late summer or fall.
Elite models run cooler than normal 360s, but they are not yet confirmed to have 65nm chips.
Prices may remain the same with the 120GB / HDMI hardware upgrade in the Premium Xbox, but we may still see a price cut on the line when 65nm chips start shipping.
The HD DVD drive will not be internal or bundled -- Microsoft never did or nor does not currently have plans to put an HD DVD drive in the 360.
There are no current plans to integrate WiFi into the Elite or future Premiums (although that can always change).

If this is true than omg, thats friggin awesome because I've yet to buy a 360 and this one comes out, thats some tight stuff.

I've yet to but a 360 also but that sounds a little farfetched, eh?

all there realy doing is adding a 120 gid hdd, and they decided to click the black color button instead of the white color button on the production line... HDMI is good, but gameing you cant rely tell all that difference between the 2. but a high end nice tv, playing a say, blu-ray disc is a diff story...

Well the 360 is going to have Halo 3 and other games on i t like....uhhhh....GOW2?  Actually i really care about is halo 3 so...

yep, but the popular games that came before halo, that are still popular on pc are comin to ps3 soon, like unreal championship, and gow2 is already out halo 3 is the only thing that will persuade me to buy a 360, but thats only if it live up to the hype, if not ill wake for a price drop.

As is right Now i see no good game on the Ps3 Nore Xbox360 so till a Good one comes Out i am just stuck

Heavenly Sword  and FF13 are the two games i am going to Get =) for PS3

No word on a good game for 360 yet =(

Ya FF13 is going to be sick but the 360 will have good games on it such as GOW 2 especially Halo 3, Bioshock, BluePlanet(whatever its called), and som,e other great sequels.

i don't Like FPS games on a system, Thay should have been only Made for PC and PC alone  =) and right now my Pc can handle 360 Fx just fine So brang on the FPS for PC =)

I won't get a 360 or a PS3. I will just spend that money to get better parts for my PC like 8800GTX =P *begins drooling* That would kill the hell out of both the sexbox 360 and the gaystation 3. The only console that I would actually waste my money on is the Nintendo Wii because of innovation. Everything is always the same with consoles because they have limitations, with the PC it's limitless to what you can do.

As for Gaylo 3, I don't expect to waste my money on it unless it's made for the PC and then adapted to the sexbox which won't happen. With gaylo it's always the same thing over and over again... there is no strategy to it. You shoot, crouch, reload, shoot etc etc etc etc. As for Gears of War, that game is way over-rated. It's a shitty imitation of Gaylo which is a shitty game other then multiplayer for at the most 10-20 matches then everything starts to look exactly the same. If you want a good gaming experience where the games are limitless and you can always find something for your appetite then I suggest building yourself a good gaming PC. You won't be sorry.

Did anyone here about the Elite being dropped to the price of 360 pro console???
To about 399.99 and the 20 gb pro console being 349.99 oooo niceee!!!!

its not anytime soon, instead of dropping the price of the 360, like sony dropped teh proce on the ps3. m$ added 2 more years to the warranty instead which in the long run will more the likely save you more money, as alot of 360's die, and it can be expensive to replace.
