Maxconsole posted a news link on their front page.

Quote
Cpasjuste has managed to get Ubuntu (comunity developed Linux-based operating system) running on the Xbox 360. It contains all the standard applications such as a WEB BROWSER, spreadsheet software, instant messaging software and more. To get it running King Kong is required as well as the vulnerable kernels. Read more about it here. Help spread the word and DIGG THIS.

Shall we discuss?

Indubitably... - first of all, do you want a news posting account? Add me on aim man, lets talk about it. I need news writers... My aim is smdepot.

When I read this today I did a dance, absolutely, irrevocably, unabashedly amazing.  I would totally do this.... but its a new thing, I figure, let others Fubar their stuff before I attempt. Yes people, just like a script kiddie.

Anyway very very very cool. Needs to be on our home page too.

The main attraction for me is the possibility of more N64 ROMS and such working because of increased memory and/or Processing power. Well, that and Halo 3 backups Tongue

BTW SMD, I PM'd you regarding your offer.

OUTSTANDING! this is great step forward! The only question is how much HDD space is needed and what are the downsides to running lunix on the 360?
