get a nice Seagate 200g or higher Make sure it's IDE =) Title: Re: Which hdd should i buy Post by: infamousdice on October 20, 2006, 08:49:31 AM ok i found a 80gb hdd it say that it is lockable but when i read some replies it say that the hdd gives a hardtime to lock and that it is very very slow the name of the hdd is (Western Digital Caviar WD800BB 80GB 7200 RPM 2MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive - OEM)

Still to this day, serveral hundred into it, I have never come accross a drive that wasn't lockable. Just a thought. Any new drive should work just fine. Western Digital, Maxtor, Seagate, etc. You should be fine.
