How to Change Your Dashboard Tutorial

Changing your dashboard is by far one of the simplest things to do on the xbox. Today I will show you how to change between multiple dashboards on your softmodded xbox.

Things Needed:
1) Softmodded Xbox ... Oddly Enough
2) FTP access to your Xbox = RED
    or
boXplorer or some sort of File Explorer on the xbox = BLUE
3) The dash of your choice

On to fixing that dash. (FTP Access)

Step 1: Turn on your xbox and make sure you have FTP access for the next step

Step 2: Log into your xbox with Flash, Smart, WS, or whatever you use and proceed to Step 3:

Step 3: Double click on E:  ... then double click on a folder called Dashboard

Step 4: Now you will see... Just to make sure you are in the right place.
If you are using EvoX > \Skins\
                  Trainers\
             evox.ini
             default.xbe

If you are using UXE  > \Skin\ (Maybe)
               Config.xml
               default.xbe

Step 5: I am guessing that you already have the dashboard downloaded and on your Desktop. So now make sure that it has a default.xbe in the folder. If the name is evox.xbe or avalaunch.xbe etc rename it to default.xbe

Step 6: Delete everything in the \Dashboard\ folder on your xbox and FTP the new dash in.

Step 7: Reboot and Enjoy

On to fixing that dash. (No FTP Access)

Step 1*:  Turn on your xbox and launch your File Explorer program. (boXplorer, etc)

Step 2*:  In one window open E: then open a folder called Dashboard . In the other window open the folder with the dash that you want

Step 3*:  Now you will see... Just to make sure you are in the right place.
If you are using EvoX > \Skins\
               \Trainers\
               evox.ini
               default.xbe

If you are using UXE  > \Skin\ (Maybe)
               Config.xml
               default.xbe

Step 4*:  Delete everything in the \E\Dashboard folder and copy all the files from within the other folder that has the dash of your choice

Step 5*:  Check to see if there is a default.xbe in the \E\Dashboard\ folder after it has completed transfering

Step 6*:  Reboot and Enjoy the new dash.

I'm having the same issue. I FTP to my Xbox, but there isn't a dash folder anywhere under E:. I used the Splinter Cell exploit, I'm not sure if that's part of the problem or not.

Not all exploits save the Dash in the same places

try looking in E:/dash  or even In C:

Older exploits set the Dash in the C:
