Title: Help ! Trying to softmod my xbox 360
Post by: lost_in_space on April 02, 2011, 08:09:02 AM
I have an Xbox 360 with a Liteon Drive 97450 and the latest OFW updates. Is it possible to softmod the drive / HDD without having to solder, wire or change the hardware board?

I've read a lot of tutorials on Jungleflasher 1.79; Ixtreme 1.6; FTPflasher; Krayzie's Ndure 3.1 and downloaded their software but i'm still none the wiser.

I've opened the xbox to find out what drive i was using but i'm trying to avoid any hardware changes. Please can someone help?

Can i flash the 120Gb HDD rather than trying to change the Liteon drive which requires me obtaining its key?

I have been successful at softmodding my PSP but finding the Xbox more of a challenge.

For the 360 the dvd drive needs to be flashed not the hdd.
try www.xbox360iso.com <--- they have tutorials for xbox flashing

yeah you are getting the two mixed up  "Krayzie's Ndure" is for the Xbox 1 not 360

the 360's softmod as some call it is still a HARD mod for the most part as you need the right sata board to flash the DVD/rom with a CFW, Or get a Jtag witch is better then just flashing the DVD/rom

Your specific drive needs intense modding, it is the one of the hardest ones to mod, sorry.
