Title: PSP Unbrick?
Post by: realg123 on August 25, 2010, 12:18:47 AM
Hello everyone.

I just purchased a psp 2000 for $5 came with adapater.

I think its bricked. It turns on there is a green light but the screen stays black. Does that mean its bricked? If so what Do I need to unbrick it? Is there a tutorial?
I have a pandora's battery what else do I need?

Thanks in advance!

If you have the pandora's battery then you just need to make a Magic memory Stick

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAGeCiUxCuA

follow the video.

Make sure you use the NEWER PSP Grader v8

Or try Rains IPLtest

Thanks zzk

Tell me if this is right.
1) make the magic memory stick
2) instert it into the psp
3) take out the battery
4) insert pandora battery while the up button on the d pad
is that correct? if it is which option would i select?
thanks!

Yeah, that's right "if using my files"  if you use just the program it's self with making the magic memorystick you may need to hold L or R  "not up"

you can pick the option for installing M33 or Just the FW  Both will Unbrick the PSP, It's all in if you want CFW on the PSP or not.

i think it may be a psp 3000
either that or its the pandora battery not working ( i used it before on two psps and it worked)

If the pandoera's battery is working on other PSP's then it's one or two things.

1. it's not a software problem and the PSP is not bricked just broking, Try opening the psp and checking wires etc etc (If the Screen is broken it can stop the PSP from turning on.

2. it's a TA-088v3 motherboard and can't be Unbricked
