Title: hard drive question
Post by: realg123 on August 08, 2010, 10:09:17 AM
Hello. I am planning on purchasing a 1tb external hard drive. I have an jtag xbox (which allows me to run games off the hard drive and a modded wii which also allows me to run games of the hard drive) I would like to use the same hard drive for both consoles.

the 360 only reads fat32 and the wii will only read wbfs. My question is will i be able to partition half into fat32 and the other half into wbfs if so which program would i use?

Yes, I did the same thing with a 500gb external. What you do is you make two partitions on the hard drive, you leave one unformated and the other fat32. Make the Fat32 one primary and the unformated one secondary. Then use the wbfs drive manager and format the unformated side of the drive (it should still have a drive letter) to that file system. This works 100% and I use USB Loader GX on the wii, since that scans both partitions.
