Title: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 11, 2009, 01:40:52 AM I tried modding my wii today.
Description: Version 3.4U = beta hack 2 in zzk's video stated that I needed to install wad manager ios36 first I get an error (ret = - 1035) i tried installing cios alone and get an error. tried 3 times. What am i doing wrong? Title: Re: wii error Post by: Kyla666 (zzk2001) on January 11, 2009, 06:09:01 AM run the Cios installer (you will get a error) then run the custom WM and install IOS16 and cios_fix
then run the CIOS installer again (should install all the way) Now you can go into the WAD manager and install the ISO36 Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 11, 2009, 09:42:25 AM thanks zzk ios16 installs, but i still get an error on cios_fix
Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 11, 2009, 09:58:32 AM Here is what I did:
run the hack got the homebrew channel installed run cios got an error (like you said) run wad manager run ios16 (installs like you said) run cios fix (get an error) and what exactly is custom wm is it wad manager? Title: Re: wii error Post by: Snipes101 on January 11, 2009, 01:41:38 PM Here are the File you need
http://www.filefactory.com/file/aee5db/n/Wii_Fix_Tools_zip Its called the Wii Fix Tool for users on 3.4 it basiclly has all the tools you need to modify your 3.4 and the Custom WM is in their and so is the cIOS fix. all you need is the ISO36 to install in the wad folder. Just follow wat zzk said run the Cios installer (you will get a error) then run the custom WM and install IOS16 and cios_fix Hope this helps ;Dthen run the CIOS installer again (should install all the way) Now you can go into the WAD manager and install the ISO36 Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 11, 2009, 02:16:38 PM thanks snipes but how would i use these files?
do i need to take out the homebrew channel install it again? and put these files in? I have no clue what to do with these files. Title: Re: wii error Post by: Snipes101 on January 11, 2009, 07:46:20 PM lol no you need the HBC to run them lol so, put the files in the root of your SD card and just make sure you put the ISO36 in the "wad" folder
Then follow Zzks instruction run the Cios installer (you will get a error) then run the custom WM and install IOS16 and cios_fix then run the CIOS installer again (should install all the way) Now you can go into the WAD manager and install the ISO36 And you should be good Title: Re: wii error Post by: Kyla666 (zzk2001) on January 11, 2009, 07:58:14 PM If you Used my files then All them Apps/files are in My Pack
In the Homebrew channel Just push to the right and you'll see custom WM (Does not have a Display img) Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 11, 2009, 10:40:52 PM thanks zzk and snipes, i used both your packs. at first didnt work, but i started messing around and somehow it worked.
one more question, do i always have to run the homebrew channel, then backup loader to load my games? is there a way i could load backup launcher from the wii, instead of the sd card? Title: Re: wii error Post by: Snipes101 on January 12, 2009, 12:07:20 AM Just upload it to our wads enjoy ;D
Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 12, 2009, 12:40:37 AM thanks snipes.
so what do i do? put the wad file into the root of the stick? run homebrew channel? and it will copy it for me? and what is the difference between backuploader and wiigator? thanks again Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 12, 2009, 07:41:18 AM i downloaded the file, and put it in the wad folder. when i try to install it through wm and wad manager i get an error am i doing something wrong?
Title: Re: wii error Post by: Kyla666 (zzk2001) on January 12, 2009, 08:33:12 AM you Need to follow this all the way
1. load cIOS installer (will Fail) 2. load custom WM and Install ISO16 It Should install then install the cios_fix (that should install to) 3. run cIOS installer (should fully install this time) 4. If it's not working Load the WAD manager and Install cios_fix(hope that it installs) Then do the cIOS installer Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 12, 2009, 08:40:17 AM thanks zzk i got that to work. but i am speaking about the backup loader
how would i run that straight from the wii, instead of poping in the sd card to run it all the time? Title: Re: wii error Post by: GamezR2EZ on January 12, 2009, 10:12:58 AM to install channels youll need to look for WAD's
i believe snipes was saying that he just uploaded it to our Wad's in the Wii section look for BackupLauncher 0.3 Gamma.wad or somethings named like that install with WM and youll have a backup launcher channel Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 12, 2009, 10:56:19 AM thanks gamerz
but i still have problems. i downloaded Backup_Launcher_0.3g-Channel.wad put that in the wad folder (which is in the root folder of my sd card)\ loaded the homebrew channel lauchned custom wm tried to install it but i get error (ret =1022) i tried installing using both custom wm and wad manager what am i doing wrong? Title: Re: wii error Post by: Kyla666 (zzk2001) on January 12, 2009, 11:40:24 AM realg123
you Don't Use the Custom WM to install .Wads Load the WAD manager to install it. the Custom WM is just for fixing the Cios Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 12, 2009, 02:31:52 PM Thanks zzk, i apprieate all your help, and i hate to be a bother not only to you, but others also. but i tried both earlier and it did not work, both wm, and wad manager. am i putting it in the right folder? ill try again and post up again
Title: Re: wii error Post by: Kyla666 (zzk2001) on January 12, 2009, 03:35:48 PM make sure you install the IOS36 as well (that may help)
Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 12, 2009, 05:27:32 PM ios36 installs fine, but backup loader still getting errors
Title: Re: wii error Post by: GamezR2EZ on January 12, 2009, 05:49:15 PM im sorry i meant to ask this

Now Running them channels i installed On 3.4 Is close to imposable =) So yea it's best to Downgrade to 3.2 Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 12, 2009, 07:13:37 PM zzk, snipes, gamerz i thank you guys for guiding me. im on 3.4, how would i downgrade? you took your video down
Title: Re: wii error Post by: Snipes101 on January 12, 2009, 10:03:37 PM First make sure you have a Wi-Fi set up on your Wii, and a Wi-Fi that don't drop the connection and that is nice and strong
Then just run IOS Downgrader from the HBC that came with the files i gave u, and choose 3.2U and make sure that the firmware you pick ends with a U for United States as our region, if not u gots a semi-bricked wii yo :D JUST HOPE YOU DON'T HAVE A POWER OUTAGE and or DROP THE Wi-Fi WHEN DOWNGRADING OR YOUR F***ED Good luck ;D Title: Re: wii error Post by: Kyla666 (zzk2001) on January 13, 2009, 08:00:14 AM Or just Use my offline files with No risk of Bricking =)
www.smdepot.net/zzk/Wii/zzk_Wii_Downgrade_Or_Upgrade_3.2.rar Download Video. www.smdepot.net/zzk/Wii/Wii_downgrade_0001.wmv I took down the Video As some ppl (are dumb) ::) and having problems with the Installing the .Wad files as they Where like you and was getting errors when trying to install Some .wad files etc etc I am going to upload the Video to the server so you can download it. But it's Very easy 1. pick the Reagen that your Wii is on (USA,PAL,JAP) 2. copy the 2 wad files to the WAD folder and Run WAD manager 3. Install IOS30 First then Install the SystemMenu (MUST do it in that Order) 4. DONE your Wii is now on 3.2 Title: Re: wii error Post by: realg123 on January 13, 2009, 08:55:11 AM snipes, zzk, gamerz and all other that i have not mentioned thanks for guiding me and others who have read this post through this.
