Title: PS3 Problem Post by: realg123 on December 22, 2008, 06:38:14 PM My cousin had his ps3 for a couple of months. All of a suden it stopped reading discs (Movies, games etc) Is there a fix for this? Other than sending it in, and getting it replaced?

Title: Re: PS3 Problem Post by: Art2Fly on December 23, 2008, 10:30:18 AM to update go to System then at the very top go to Update. From there, the ps3 will automatically select the newest firmware out and update your console. Of course, you need internet for this to work.

To do it first set your setting to sd if your on hd by holding the power button when you turn on the ps3. then turn it off and this time turn it on and just keep hold of the power button again until you hear two beeps. When I used one of the options it stated "your hard drive is corrupt, this will fix it" said okay. Same thing still does not work
