Also to add... For those of us using the 007 Installer... Note the following. "IMPORTANT!!!!: The 007 version needs to be loaded a certain way in order to get the save working otherwise it will just boot to a black screen. When you get to the load game screen DONT'T select load game but start a new one. Then when you reached the actual game (after the cutscene), hit the start button and select quit game, Then go back to the load game screen and this time select "load game"." - Krazyie's Readme for the Krayzie_007_UXE_Installer_Dutch-English_v2.8 Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: Kyla666 (zzk2001) on August 01, 2005, 06:01:57 PM In that Tut i did tell them to do that just not Word for Word of the Readme file =)
" if your going to use 007 you must frist Start a mission then Ouit then Load a Mission if you don't do that all you'll see is a black screen when trying to load a mission" Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: SMD on August 02, 2005, 07:58:02 AM Sorry dude. IMO Mechassualt is the EASIEST way to softmod your xbox (also its the best game out of the three :P). But there are quite a few patched versions out there.... When buying/renting Mechassault, ask to see the disk. On the back, in the middle ring theres a laser etched Alpha Numberic code. MS02301LL1 is what your looking for Patched disks will have a different ecth (e.g. MS02308L-MS-L1). ANY etch apart from the one above means the disk has been patched and wont work. Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: jebus989 on January 04, 2006, 04:28:04 PM Not knowing which game i cannot.
But, click here (http://smdepot.net/files.php). Then go to 'Exploits', then select the correcponding file. MA = mechassualt, SC = splintercell and AUF= agent under fire. These are .RAR archives, you'll need the program winRAR to extract them. You can get it by clicking here (http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar351.exe). The .zip file is within the .RAR archive :) Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: Kyla666 (zzk2001) on January 04, 2006, 05:33:42 PM AUF is now Named 007 hope that helps anyone that gets lost looking for AUF lol
Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: NaveR on January 06, 2006, 09:56:52 AM I have the origional splinter cell but I cant get any of these to work.
I download the file Save both of the zip files to AR and then to the Xbox. So its the Installer and Profile I load Linux Profile I click the next thing which should load the installer but I get a black screen. When I read up about this problem Krazie just says to read the README file or whatever comes in the .rar file when I do theres no sollution to this problem. Ive also tried this on an xbox that came out on the first day. ill keep checking the board and will go check the mirc but if anyone reads this and knows how to solve this problem you can contact me at evanritchie@hotmail.com Ive also tried to boot up the ltools 1.7.5 and nothing was changed but I got the error 21 thing. Should I maybe try mech assult? Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: kingyiff on January 06, 2006, 01:52:42 PM Maybe you don't have the right msdash.
I would try updating your msdash by running the xbox live option on a xbox live compatible game and then try to mod. If that doesn't work I would try mechassault Title: Re: dual boot option in krazie's mech assalt softmod Post by: jebus989 on January 12, 2006, 05:35:07 PM I was confused about a message that i got when i tried to use xbmc as my second xbe file to use when i pressed the eject button on my xbox,it said somthing about"The xbe2 has to be signed with habbi" or somthing to that affect. I have no clue on what this is,if somone knows, please reply to that question as to what it mean and how to do it. thank you guys Just rooting through 'the archives' and noticed an unanswered question :O so i thought id give it a shot anyways. Habbi is a 'fake' xbe signer - basically it allows an xbe to be recognised as a game. this is used for creating bootdisks for example. So it would seem to me, that the second xbe was trying to be loaded in retail mode - or by bypassing the modified bios and loading shadowc, therefore would need a signed or habbi signed xbe to be bootable. As for signing it with habbi - i have not used the program (or ever needed to) and neither do you... dual booting has been greatly improved with krayzies ndure installer, you can boot a second (unsigned) xbe or retail at the touch of a few buttons. With Krayzies Ndure v1.1 out for to BETA testers :D itll be out officially anyday its time to update and congrats to zzk for having the officail most veiwed thread on smdepot :D Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: jon182 on January 21, 2006, 11:47:21 AM when i transfer the splinter cell files to action replay it puts the game save under linux installer, as the game, so splinter cell dosent recognise the save, how do i change it so the save is in the splintercell file?
Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: SMD on January 21, 2006, 01:54:38 PM Its supposed to put the saves under "linux installer" And SC will recognize the saves. MAKE SURE your not using platinum hits.
Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: BIGG JAKE79 on January 24, 2006, 06:02:08 PM i used 007 AUF to softmod my xbox once and then turned the softmod off not unistalled it and then i had to return the game. i found my mechassault game and it wants me to install the softmod as if i never had one on. would that be ok or should i get the 007 game again and unistall then use mechassualt to install so i can use mechassualt only instead of 007?

Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: NOOB Softmodder on April 15, 2006, 01:09:52 PM Hi all,
Just tried to softmod my xbox, but something appears to be going wrong. I'm using the Splinter Cell PAL method and Krayzie installer Here is what I've done:- 1. Updated my dash to latest version using the xbox live update 2. transfered the 2 game saves to my memory card via ftp using a hard modded xbox :) 3. copied the saves to the unmodded xbox 4. ran game and hit the 'Linux' game save. 5. This is as far as I get. I keep getting 'Error 21' on screen Please, can anyone shed any light onto this, its doing my head in. BTW, I tried this on my hardmoded xbox and got as far as the option to softmod the xbox (but didn't do it as its already hardmodded) Thanks in advance guys **UPDATE** Right, I thought I'd better test the transfer of the saved files on my memory card (not an official one btw) back to the hardmodded xbox. So I deleted the saves from the console and transfered them from my memory card to the hardmodded xbox. When I tried to execute the hack the console just froze on my. Indicating to me that the unofficial memory card just wasn't getting the saves transfered correctly. I'm off out now to buy me an official memory card to try that. I'll keep you guys posted **Update 2 ** Well I managed to get hold of a pre-owned official xbox memory card from my local 'GameStation' and everything worked a treat. Gtreat softmod tools. Thanks a lot. Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer ~ installation problem Post by: azndoodle on April 15, 2006, 11:50:26 PM The instructions works wonders! It's perfect. However I now have a problem.
I followed the instructions to upgrade my HD to 200GB I checked the compatibilty list and I know i bought the one that can be locked. With this instructions: http://www.smdepot.net/forum/index.php?topic=16.0 Basically I, 1) backed up C & E content to my PC 2) used xbhdm 1.9 to create the CD containing all my C & E files & eeprom.bin file 3) booted my PC with new 200GB HD and new xbhdm CD (from step 2) 4) from the CD menu i chose: Build a new Xbox HD from scratch 5) followed the onscreen instruction and created F & G as well copying content of C & E to the drive 6) locked the new 200GB HD. I've done everything to a "T"! My xbox booted up fine. However it now boots up to the MS dashboard, not to my EvoX dashboard. I tried to reinstall with Krayzie UXE installer but up to the point where it ask me to choose dashboard, it would give me an error saying something like "Last action: rename ..." and it wouldn't allow me to go any further. Does anyone know what's wrong? How can I fix it so that I can install properly? I was thinking is there an .ini file that i need to check and mod so that it will boot to the appropriate dashboard? Please HELP. Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: Boost on April 16, 2006, 01:44:23 PM you doing fine
just mod it again and POOF 200 gig softmodded xbox also when you do the mod on this 200 gig make sure you choose NK Patcher 06 it'll let you put all your free space on "F" you won't need G BOOST Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: azndoodle on April 17, 2006, 12:17:56 AM Now I have another problem. When I try to mod it again, using my Splinter Cell, I try to load the exploit in the saved game of SC, and once I press A to load it, it freezes. The music is still playing, but no response from my xbox. I tried unpluggin the controller, not even an error message pops up. The only way is to eject the game or turn off the xbox.
What's going here? Can someone help me? I've tried using Krayzie's UXE installer 2.7 & 2.8, and this symptom happens with both. Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: azndoodle on April 17, 2006, 09:02:59 PM update: I give up on the Splinter Cell method of installing softmod, so i ended up buying 007 Agent Under Fire to install the softmod and it works great. I don't know what's wrong could it be my Splinter cell DVD or the saved game files??

Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: azndoodle on April 19, 2006, 06:05:49 AM the odd thing was that I've been using Splinter cell exploit a few times and it was successful..just recently it doesn't work. I'm wonder whether there's specific steps when using Splinter cell exploit. Like how 007's exploit requires you to run a new game before loading the exploit.
Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: azndoodle on April 19, 2006, 06:51:19 AM UPDATE: Finally a SOLUTION
I took a leap of faith. I uninstalled the softmod and reinstalled it. I was afraid I lost all my files, which I did. =( I lost everything on my F: drive. But it wasn't the end of the world, I just had to recopy everything back in again. The solution: Apparently when I used XBOXHDM 1.9 the F: drive was allocated full 180GB of space. So what I need to do was tell Evo-X that all I have is a F: drive and no G: drive. So I chose .06 (instead of .67) patch. Once the softmod has been installed, my F: reported only 80GB of free space, but then I (using Krazyie's UXE installer) format F: to get the correct size that i'm suppose to have. Now I have 180GB ALL on my F: drive. My problem: I had followed the instruction tooo closely. Those instruction to installing softmod was only for HD smaller than 160GB. Any HD greater than that (such as my 200GB) You need to follow my little instruction so that your dashboard reports the correct size of your HD. No time to spend countless hours, re-copying all my games back to my F: drive. Title: i need help!! Post by: sububurbansqueegie on June 17, 2006, 07:01:08 PM Ok, this is my second time modding an xbox and this time I used Krayzie UXE installer and installed the ExoX dashboard. I chose this program because everyone on these forums is saying how it is possible to turn off the softmod and go into retail mode. The problem is that I have no idea how to switch to retail mode and turn the softmod off. I keep trying to play on XBL with games that I haven't even modded and I keep getting error message 21 saying that my xbox needs to be serviced. So if someone could please tell me step by step how to switch between retail and softmod mode, I would greatly appreciate it. The solution is probably very simple, but I just can't figure it out. Please help!

Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: Stin on September 13, 2006, 12:15:38 AM Hey Guys, I'm having some issues softmodding my XBox. I downloaded the lastest Krayzie UXE Installer from xbin, copied the saves over to a memory card via AR, and then to the HD. I loaded my original copy of SC (not a Platinum Hits, the 5+ yr old version). I load the Linux profile at the main menu and then at the Load Check Point screen there are no check points listed to load. If I select ('A' button) the 'Check Points' option the XBox basically freezes. There is still sound but all I can do is power it off or eject the game.
I made sure to logon to XBox live prior to even trying this to make sure I had the lastest MS dashboard. Anyone have any ideas? If need be I could try to track down a orginal MA disk but since I already had SC I just figured I'd use that. I apologize, I tried using the chat feature but keep getting a Java.Net.ConnectException error. Thanks in advance! This is what solved the problem should anyone else encounter the issue. I tried the download from the SMDepot site and still had no luck. This may be mentioned somewhere already and I missed it but what I ended up having to do was remove the saved missions I had downloaded and also my old profile (basically the only SC save that remained was the exploit download). After that the Krayzie installer worked perfectly. Again thanks for the assistance! (Gamecube = NO Never) (Playstation = Yes very Buggy) (Playstation 2 = NO Never) all OLD systems like Snes,Nes,Sega, etc etc = YES 99.9% working Thing Is when enulateing a SYStem you need the Same "specs" as the system then you need More to Run the software So say a Ps2 emu thats 300mhz then take in the GPU at 150 MHz that 450mhz xbox's cpu is 733mhz Ok you need to run 450mhz just to load a ps2emu now your xbox oly has 283hmz left to run a Game But must games Use all the CPU's power to run so right there your s**t out of luck =) and thats without putting in the Sound Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: skip2mylou on October 03, 2006, 09:53:57 PM o thanks that makes sense. a lot of sense, i was always uncertain on why certain system emus where either never created or never worked. this makes it very clear. so like u said, older system emus should work, but definately not the newer ones. thanks again.
skip general question: can u save game to the HB HD instead of the mem card, then load it later? (update) ive been searching everywhere for AR and every store i go to tells me that either they have discontinued it or they have never heard of it before. nevertheless, i am without AR. i was wondering, instead of using AR can i just FTP the necessary saved game file of 007AUF to my XB and continue with soft modding that way? thanks. If so, is there another method that could avoid it?
A clock loop is when you xbox has a power failure. The xbox wants to get its time from the origional xbox dash, but it can't. It restarts and repeats the same process. Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: Kyla666 (zzk2001) on November 27, 2006, 06:15:32 PM we Know what a clock loop is And No close to All Newer Auto install Softmods Fixed the clock loop
you can have it unpluged for Weeks on end and plug it back up without clock loop Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: Coolant on November 27, 2006, 06:18:32 PM I was just saying what a clock loop is if anyone didn't know.
Anyway, thanks. I get frequent power outages around were I live (lots of rain), and now I won't have to worry about never being able to use my xbox again. Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: Kyla666 (zzk2001) on November 28, 2006, 04:16:39 AM Even if a xbox gets in a Clock loop it does not mean you can never use it agin
To fix a clock Loop just leave Xbox On and Let it Keep rebooting after about 20mins or Longer (could take Hours) it will get it's self out of the clock Loop But i don't think anyone will ever see a clock loop agin =) Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: drfweega on November 29, 2006, 12:43:05 PM Wow, the good 'ol days with those clock loops. Title: Re: Softmod with Krayzie UXE installer Post by: C_C on January 06, 2007, 08:04:45 PM Whenever I try to copy my gamesaves over to my HDD from the memory card... there is no option to "copy" the game save. It only says "delete". That's it.
So, I figured what the hell... I'll try running the exploit directly from the memory card. It quickly flashes red/green error 21. Now I know I wasn't supposed to run it from the memory card... but what is my options if the dash doesn't allow the copying of the game save? Boost has got a tut >>LINK (http://www.smdepot.net/forum/index.php?topic=85.0). and Zzk2001 has got a video tut >>LINK (http://www.smdepot.net/forum/index.php?topic=674.0). if u decide to use Boost's tut, you should make a backup of ur C and E drives. and a personal note, i had trouble unlocking the XB HDD so that it could be restored, to avoid this, put the your eeprom.bin in the eeprom folder when making the XboxHDM disk... ull know what im talkin about when u get there. good luck.
